Lantern Isles: 11+ Adventure – Privacy Policy (v1)
1. Who we are
Lantern Isles is published on Google Play by Arbiva Consultancy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as "Arbiva Ltd" ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, write to support@arbiva.co.uk.
2. Who the app is for
The app is designed for children preparing for the 11+ exams in UK schools (roughly ages 7–11) and their parents. It follows the Google Play Families Policy, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK Information Commissioner's Office Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code). Privacy-protective settings are on by default and cannot be switched off.
3. Information that stays on the device
The following is created while the app is used and is stored only on the device. We never receive it and it is never sent to us or to anyone else:
- an optional nickname (no real name is needed) and the chosen school year;
- learning progress: answers, scores, stars, crowns, mock paper results, unlocked items;
- settings: sound, voice, session length, exam region, help language, and whether Premium is active.
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes all of this permanently. Android's own device backup may include app data if the parent has turned device backup on; that backup is controlled by the device owner and Google, not by us.
4. Information we collect
None. We do not ask for, collect or store names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, photos, contacts, precise location or any account details. There is no sign-in, no chat, no user-generated content shared with others, no social features and no links to the web for children. The app contains no analytics or tracking tools of our own.
5. Voice and reading aloud
Questions are read aloud from voice recordings built into the app. If a sentence has no recording, the device's own text-to-speech engine reads it. Nothing is recorded: the app never uses the microphone or camera.
6. Advertising (free version only)
The free version shows adverts from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). We have configured AdMob for children:
- every ad request is marked as child-directed (tagForChildDirectedTreatment) and as for users under the age of consent (tagForUnderAgeOfConsent);
- maximum ad content rating G (suitable for general audiences);
- non-personalised ads only – no interest-based advertising and no remarketing;
- the app does not access the Android Advertising ID (the AD_ID permission is removed from the app);
- no ad mediation partners are used – only Google's own certified Families ad network.
To show and count an advert and to prevent fraud, Google's SDK processes limited technical information, such as the IP address (used to estimate the general country/region), device type and operating system version, app version, and how an advert was viewed or tapped. Google acts on our behalf for these purposes and may not use it to build advertising profiles of children. Adverts appear only at natural breaks (for example after a finished game, or when a child chooses to watch a short video for an extra play) and never during questions, lessons, mock papers or the parent area. Premium removes all adverts.
7. Purchases
Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play. The purchase screen is only reachable behind a grown-ups' gate (a question a young child cannot easily answer). We never receive payment card details or the buyer's name; Google only tells the app whether Premium has been bought, so that it can be unlocked and restored. Google Play's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
8. Internet access and permissions
All learning works offline. The app uses the Internet permission only to load adverts in the free version and to make or restore the Premium purchase through Google Play. Apart from the standard network-state and Google Play billing permissions that these need, it requests no other permissions (no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage).
9. Children's rights and parents' choices
- Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. All app data can be removed by uninstalling the app or using Android Settings → Apps → Lantern Isles → Storage → Clear data.
- Parents can buy Premium to remove all adverts, and can adjust voice, sound and session length in the parent area.
- Parents may contact us at any time at support@arbiva.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
10. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We do not process personal data ourselves. The limited processing done by Google for non-personalised advertising is based on our legitimate interest in funding a free version of the app, with the child-protective settings described above.
11. Security
Data stays on the device and is protected by Android's app sandbox. Communication between the device and Google (adverts, purchases) is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version at this address with a new version number and date. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play listing.

Lantern Isles: 11+ Adventure – Gizlilik Politikası (v1)
1. Biz kimiz
Lantern Isles, Google Play'de İngiltere ve Galler'de kayıtlı Arbiva Consultancy Limited ("Arbiva Ltd" ticari adıyla; "biz") tarafından yayımlanır. Gizlilikle ilgili her soru için: support@arbiva.co.uk.
2. Uygulama kimin için
Uygulama, Birleşik Krallık okullarında 11+ sınavına hazırlanan çocuklar (yaklaşık 7–11 yaş) ve ebeveynleri için tasarlanmıştır. Google Play Aileler Politikası'na, ABD Çocukların Çevrimiçi Gizliliğini Koruma Yasası'na (COPPA) ve Birleşik Krallık Bilgi Komiserliği'nin (ICO) Yaşa Uygun Tasarım Kuralları'na (Children's Code) uyar. Gizliliği koruyan ayarlar varsayılan olarak açıktır ve kapatılamaz.
3. Cihazda kalan bilgiler
Aşağıdakiler uygulama kullanılırken oluşur ve yalnızca cihazda saklanır. Bize ya da başka birine asla gönderilmez:
- isteğe bağlı bir takma ad (gerçek isim gerekmez) ve seçilen okul yılı;
- öğrenme ilerlemesi: cevaplar, puanlar, yıldızlar, taçlar, deneme sınavı sonuçları, açılan öğeler;
- ayarlar: ses, seslendirme, oturum süresi, sınav bölgesi, yardım dili ve Premium'un etkin olup olmadığı.
Uygulamayı kaldırmak veya verilerini temizlemek bunların hepsini kalıcı olarak siler. Ebeveyn cihaz yedeklemesini açtıysa Android'in kendi yedeği uygulama verilerini içerebilir; bu yedek bizim değil, cihaz sahibinin ve Google'ın kontrolündedir.
4. Topladığımız bilgiler
Hiçbiri. İsim, e-posta adresi, telefon numarası, fotoğraf, rehber, hassas konum veya hesap bilgisi istemeyiz, toplamayız, saklamayız. Giriş yapma, sohbet, başkalarıyla paylaşılan kullanıcı içeriği, sosyal özellik ve çocuklar için web bağlantısı yoktur. Uygulamada bize ait hiçbir analiz veya izleme aracı yoktur.
5. Seslendirme
Sorular, uygulamanın içindeki ses kayıtlarından okunur. Kaydı olmayan bir cümleyi cihazın kendi metin okuma motoru okur. Hiçbir şey kaydedilmez: uygulama mikrofonu veya kamerayı asla kullanmaz.
6. Reklamlar (yalnızca ücretsiz sürüm)
Ücretsiz sürümde Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) reklamları gösterilir. AdMob'u çocuklara göre ayarladık:
- her reklam isteği çocuklara yönelik (tagForChildDirectedTreatment) ve rıza yaşının altındaki kullanıcılar için (tagForUnderAgeOfConsent) olarak işaretlenir;
- en yüksek reklam içerik derecesi G (genel izleyici);
- yalnızca kişiselleştirilmemiş reklamlar – ilgi alanına dayalı reklam ve yeniden pazarlama yoktur;
- uygulama Android Reklam Kimliği'ne erişmez (AD_ID izni uygulamadan kaldırılmıştır);
- reklam uyumlulaştırma (mediation) ortağı kullanılmaz – yalnızca Google'ın Aileler için onaylı kendi reklam ağı.
Bir reklamı göstermek, saymak ve dolandırıcılığı önlemek için Google'ın yazılımı sınırlı teknik bilgileri işler: IP adresi (genel ülke/bölgeyi tahmin etmek için), cihaz türü ve işletim sistemi sürümü, uygulama sürümü ve reklamın nasıl görüntülendiği ya da dokunulduğu gibi. Google bu amaçlarla bizim adımıza hareket eder ve bu bilgileri çocuklar için reklam profili oluşturmak üzere kullanamaz. Reklamlar yalnızca doğal aralarda (örneğin bir oyun bittikten sonra ya da çocuk ek oyun hakkı için kısa bir video izlemeyi seçtiğinde) çıkar; sorular, dersler, deneme sınavları ve veli bölümü sırasında asla çıkmaz. Premium tüm reklamları kaldırır.
7. Satın almalar
Premium, tamamen Google Play tarafından işlenen tek seferlik bir uygulama içi satın almadır. Satın alma ekranına yalnızca yetişkin kapısından (küçük bir çocuğun kolayca cevaplayamayacağı bir soru) geçilerek ulaşılır. Kart bilgilerini veya alıcının adını asla almayız; Google uygulamaya yalnızca Premium'un satın alınıp alınmadığını bildirir, böylece Premium açılabilir ve geri yüklenebilir. Ödeme için Google Play'in kendi koşulları ve gizlilik politikası geçerlidir.
8. İnternet erişimi ve izinler
Tüm öğrenme çevrimdışı çalışır. Uygulama İnternet iznini yalnızca ücretsiz sürümde reklam yüklemek ve Google Play üzerinden Premium satın almak veya geri yüklemek için kullanır. Bunların gerektirdiği standart ağ durumu ve Google Play faturalandırma izinleri dışında başka hiçbir izin istemez (konum, kamera, mikrofon, rehber veya depolama yok).
9. Çocukların hakları ve ebeveynlerin seçenekleri
- Kişisel veri tutmadığımız için erişilecek, düzeltilecek, aktarılacak veya silinecek bir şey yoktur. Tüm uygulama verileri uygulamayı kaldırarak ya da Android Ayarlar → Uygulamalar → Lantern Isles → Depolama → Verileri temizle yoluyla silinebilir.
- Ebeveynler tüm reklamları kaldırmak için Premium alabilir; seslendirme, ses ve oturum süresini veli bölümünden ayarlayabilir.
- Ebeveynler bize her zaman support@arbiva.co.uk adresinden ulaşabilir. Birleşik Krallık Bilgi Komiserliği'ne (ico.org.uk) şikâyette bulunma hakkınız da vardır.
10. Hukuki dayanak (UK GDPR)
Kendimiz kişisel veri işlemeyiz. Google'ın kişiselleştirilmemiş reklamlar için yaptığı sınırlı işleme, yukarıda anlatılan çocuk koruyucu ayarlarla birlikte, uygulamanın ücretsiz sürümünü finanse etmeye yönelik meşru menfaatimize dayanır.
11. Güvenlik
Veriler cihazda kalır ve Android'in uygulama korumalı alanıyla korunur. Cihaz ile Google arasındaki iletişim (reklamlar, satın almalar) aktarım sırasında şifrelenir (HTTPS).
12. Değişiklikler
Bu politika değişirse yeni sürümü yeni sürüm numarası ve tarihle bu adreste yayımlarız. Önemli değişiklikler uygulamanın Google Play sayfasına da yansıtılır.
